Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small (2-3 person) team along with mission partners in deploying multiple solutions for customers
  • Develop and maintain Ansible automation playbooks for deploying and managing Red Hat OpenShift clusters
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment processes
  • Integrate authentication services, including LDAP, SAML, and OAuth, into the platform
  • Design, maintain, and improve CI pipelines (GitLab CI) for secure software builds and deployments
  • Ensure high availability and performance of the data platform by implementing best practices for resource management and scaling
  • Collaborate with security and DevOps teams to ensure compliance with security standards and policies
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a DoD security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of professional experience in platform engineering, DevOps, infrastructure, or software engineering
  • Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management, including tools such as Ansible and Terraform
  • Strong experience with Linux-based systems and Git version control
  • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
  • Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD
  • Working knowledge of authentication and identity protocols (LDAP, SAML, OAuth)
  • Understanding of general security best practices
  • Ability to write and maintain automation scripts and infrastructure-related code
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated attention to detail

Candidates who have any of the following skills will be preferred

  • Linux systems administration experience in production environments
  • Experience with container security tools (e.g., Grype, Syft)
  • Familiarity with SAST/SCA and application security tools (e.g., Fortify, SonarQube, Snyk, Trivy, ZAP)
  • Experience with AWS services, including EKS, EC2, and Lambda
  • Application and service networking experience using tools such as Istio, NGINX, or Traefik
  • Experience with monitoring and observability platforms (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Familiarity with authentication and identity management platforms (e.g., Keycloak)
  • Experience leading a small team or collaborating with industry partners
  • Red Hat certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, OpenShift certification)

The pay range for this position is $146,000- $206,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
