The Role

Do you want to be part of Fidelity Investments Asset Management team that provides a wide range of investment management support services: asset servicing functions including proxy research, information and data services, pricing, cash management, accounting, integrated solutions, relationship management, and Analyst global product services? We are looking for a Senior Salesforce Developer who will be an integral member of the team. You will work across the entire team to support team tools, reporting, administration, communication, and execution of cross-team projects.

To be effective in the role, you will partner closely with members across the team to expand its use of Salesforce across its business and integrate multiple data sources to support the expansion. You will focus on developing a deeper understanding of our goals and challenges and be responsible for partnering with direct management on the design and delivery of the end-to-end solutions.

You will also contribute to the communication of installs, process and procedure documents, testing documentation, and potentially collaborate with enterprise Salesforce contacts and other developers for Salesforce across the firm.

Within the Relationship Management and Business Enablement Team, you will report to the Principal Salesforce Engineer.

The Value You Deliver:

  • Engaging Salesforce solutions using standard configuration capabilities as well as custom solutions using Lightning components, Apex and VisualForce for desktop and mobile.
  • Collaborative working relationships with the Business and a global Agile team of architects, analysts and developers using Scrum.
  • Input into overall technical architecture and change management processes.
  • Simplifying and streamlining existing Business Processes
  • Creating improved experience for FFIO Relationship Management team in day-to-day work.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

To be successful in this role, you will have experience working within a large organization, being entrepreneurial and innovative, and building new relationships and partnerships.

  • Bachelor’s or post-primary degree in a Technology-related discipline
  • 4+ years’ experience working in IT enabled change
  • Salesforce Platform Developer or Salesforce Administrator certification preferred
  • Proven success developing and managing relationships and partnerships internally with other business units in a complex organization
  • Strong team orientation
  • Experience partnering on cross-functional project teams to achieve a desired outcome
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently across a matrixed organization while supporting a key initiative
  • Willingness to learn, natural curiosity and a passion for improving day-to-day experience of both associates and customers
  • Ability to cultivate collaborative relationships and form effective working partnerships
  • Experience developing and implementing strategy designed to effect a change in behavior across a large organization preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written skills with proven ability to champion recommendations and influence decisions at all levels of management
  • Commitment to hitting deadlines and strong aptitude for prioritization and time management
  • Experience defining the scope and issues for research/analytic initiatives, developing, and executing project plans and managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong analytical, engineering, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong experience of IT enabled business change using low/no code solutions
  • Solid understanding of Solution design and development concepts
  • Programming skills would be beneficial (HTML5, VB.net, SQL, JavaScript, Python, R, Tableau)

The Team

Fidelity Fund & Investment Operations (FFIO) is a division of Fidelity’s Asset Management team. The Relationship Management and Business Enablement team provides relationship and service management for 29 internal Fidelity business partners and 5 external custodian banks that are servicing Fidelity fund assets. The team plays a critical role in the overall FFIO operating model of working with Operations and Product teams to deliver key priorities and provide great customer experience for all FFIO services.
