How will you make an impact in this role?
Key Responsibilities:- Manages and leads a team of Software Engineering colleagues, enabling a culture of continuous learning, growth opportunities, and inclusivity for all individual colleagues and teams
- Provides leadership, guidance, and coaching to Software Engineering teams, supporting training and development of best practices
- Recruit's colleagues with relevant experience, and develops, rewards, and energizes an effective team
- Supervises the design, development, testing, and deployment of large-scale enterprise applications
- Oversees technical aspects of Software Engineering, including design, prototyping, and coding assignments for assigned applications
- Collaborates with internal teams and technical product managers to deliver platform improvements and enhancements
- Establishes and enforces engineering practices across teams, including code review, build and release processes, and retrospective effectiveness
- Empowers teams to automate scalable application deployments in test and production environments
- Collaborates with leadership to define technical solutions and drive software maturity and best practices
- Collaborates and co-creates effectively with teams in product and the business to align technology initiatives with business objectives
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, and/or comparable experience; advanced degree preferred
- Knowledge of distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, NoSQL, and relational databases
- Knowledge of the core tools used in the planning, analyzing, crafting, building, testing, configuring, and maintaining of assigned application(s)
- Software engineering and development experience or a related job
- Expertise in application design, software development, and automated testing
- Experience in distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases
- Experience in Agile software development methodologies and practices such as Scrum/Kanban, iterations, user stories
- Experience in automation testing and documentation (i.e. automated, functional, and performance)
- 4+ years of Python, Java, Go
- 2+ years of Orchestrated Workflow Development
- 4+ years of experience with CICD pipelines, GitHub Actions preferred
- Understanding of configuration management tooling such as Puppet, Salt, Ansible, is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience with consuming and maintaining relational and NoSQL databases is preferred.
- General understanding of database types and concepts strongly preferred.
Salary Range: $120,000.00 to $210,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
