Locatedin Greater Boston, MassBay is a comprehensive, open-access community collegeoffering associate degrees and certificate programs on three campuses inWellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland, Massachusetts. This position is basedon the Wellesley Hills campus.



Position Summary:

TheSenior Special Programs Coordinator performs administrative work and projectcoordination in the Academic Achievement Center (AAC) at MassBay CommunityCollege. The Senior Special Programs Coordinator is responsible forcoordinating program operations. This includes using technology to schedule,manage, and implement testing activities. This role also uses platforms such asSlate and EAB to maintain student and learning specialist records andschedules, support the development and assessment of program goals, andorganize daily work activities. They will assist students and performadministrative tasks in the AAC as needed. The Senior Special ProgramsCoordinator will also perform related work as directed by the Director of theAAC.

KeyResponsibilities and Duties:

  • With others, coordinate and monitor program operations within the Academic Achievement Center (AAC), including testing center logistics, tutoring services, and student support initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals;

  • Coordinate and manage testing logistics and scheduling within the AAC, including placement testing (Accuplacer), make-up testing, challenge exams, and other exams as may be integrated exams (e.g., TEAS, CLEP);

  • Support AAC program operations by using technology such as Slate and EAB to maintain records, schedules, and workflows related to testing, tutoring, and other academic support services;

  • Collect, analyze, and report data related to AAC services (testing, tutoring, workshops, etc.) to assess program effectiveness, inform decision-making, and support continuous improvement efforts;

  • Develop and maintain program and testing schedules to ensure efficient use of staff, space, and resources and a positive student experience;

  • With the Director, collaborate with Admissions to work with high school guidance counselors in offering placement testing opportunities for local high school students;

  • In collaboration with the Director, plan and implement training activities related to testing procedures, technology platforms, and AAC operations;

  • Learn, implement, and support the use of technology systems utilized by the AAC, including assisting with onboarding and training of staff and peer professionals on new tools and processes;

  • Facilitate internal and external communications for the AAC, including updates to testing, programs, webpages, promotion of services and events, and dissemination of information to faculty, staff, and students;

  • Acquire certifications as necessary to administer and proctor various testing services;

  • Interact with internal and external agencies and individuals; attend meetings; serve on and/or chair committees as assigned;

  • Attend college-related events and represent the college and the AAC at internal and external events as needed;

  • Participate in meetings and professional development activities and maintain a working knowledge of assigned areas;

  • Carry out all other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master'sdegree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Business Administration,Marketing, Education Administration, or other field related to area ofassignment; with three (3) years’ experience and/or training involving area ofassignment, which may include business management, program/project management,grant administration, budget development, community relations, curriculumdevelopment, education, counseling, substance abuse, non-traditional studentservices, or public assistance programs; or an equivalent combination ofeducation, training, and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Sensitivity and commitment to the goals of Affirmative Action;

  • Experience working in a community college or similar environment;

  • Demonstrated commitment to working with students in need.

Additional Information:

Salary Range:
$73,412 - $82,095, in accordance withone's education and experience as dictated by the collective bargainingagreement classification compensation structure.
