How will you make an impact in this role?

American Express is spearheading into multicloud infrastructure enablement leveraging best of all public clouds and this position will be instrumental in securely enabling cloud native services in Google cloud platform using self service developer experience.

In this Senior Technical Program Manager role, you will be part of a highly talented team responsible for building scalable, secure, and highly available Cloud based Services within our public cloud based platform, while also gaining experience and getting exposure to many other open-source products as required.

Your primary responsibilities will be to strategize, plan and execute technical solutions to enable American Express Hybrid Multi Cloud platform, with a focus on building automation for highly scalable cloud services delivery.

Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
      • 10+ years of experience in technical program management, software engineering, or a related field.
      • Experience in managing complex, cross-functional projects.
      • Strong technical background and understanding of the software development lifecycle.
      • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
      • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
      • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

    • 12+ years of IT experience in leading large programs for Enterprises utilizing Public Cloud, On-Prem, 3rd Party Data Integration platforms
    • 7+ years experience in leading development initiatives specifically in Public Cloud Infrastructure delivering Infra as code templates to automate cloud provisioning, configuration, and management tasks using GitOps pipeline .
    • Hands on experience in creating cloud provisioning dashboards, public cloud usage reports and managing cloud resources, including virtual machines, networking, and storage, ensuring they are provisioned and configured correctly.
    • Strong system design and technical expertise in executing operational readiness program by defining observability metrics and ensuring cloud infrastructure metrics are tracked for performance, cost, and security, identifying areas for optimization and remediation.
    • Strong experience in understanding large scale implementation of cloud security measures and have proven track record of managing platform initiatives to protect cloud resources and data, including firewalls, access controls, and security groups
    • Leading cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and security teams, to implement and manage cloud solutions
    • Familiar with agile application development methods. Understanding of QE, Devops processes in general

Salary Range: $110,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
