
Senior Wholesale Outside Sales Representative - AutoNation Ford South Fort Worth
Job Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
- Drive growth of AutoNation OEM and aftermarket parts sales by actively prospecting, acquiring, and onboarding new wholesale accounts.
- Conduct regular in-person sales calls to existing and prospective accounts, including cold calls to strengthen relationships and uncover new business opportunities.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret competitive market information to identify trends, gaps, and sales opportunities.
- Promote AutoNation branded parts and serve as the subject-matter expert on pricing, program benefits, product features, and value-added services.
- Leverage CRM and other digital tools to maintain accurate account information, pipeline visibility, and territory organization.
- Participate in and support AutoNation’s presence at local and national aftermarket events, trade shows, and industry functions.
- Monitor and escalate issues, customer insights, and operational obstacles to management to support continuous improvement and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Increase the number of external accounts purchasing AutoNation OEM and branded parts through strategic relationship building and consistent follow-up.
Senior-Level Support & Leadership
- Support the onboarding and development of newly hired OSRs within the first 3 months of employment, ensuring successful integration into sales processes and AutoNation culture.
- Lead training sessions for select OSRs focused on sales enablement topics including digital platforms, CRM usage, program knowledge, and best operational practices.
- Identify operational barriers within stores that impact sales or business development activities (e.g., pricing policy inconsistencies, lack of process adherence) and partner with subject-matter experts or leadership to resolve issues.
- Serve as a regional resource for best practices, coaching, and problem-solving, elevating the performance and capability of the broader OSR team.
Qualifications:
- Personable, professional, and highly skilled in building and maintaining strong customer relationships across a broad range of clients.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer-focused mindset with proven responsiveness to customer needs.
- Ability to identify business opportunities and recommend solutions based on customer and market observations.
- Demonstrated resilience and ability to confidently “ask for the sale.”
- Strong computer proficiency, including CRM tools, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Expertise in wholesale programs across OEM and manufacturer partners is required.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record.
- Professional appearance and conduct must be maintained at all times.
