Sheeter

Wilsonart, Temple, Texashas an immediate opening for a Sheeter. This individual sheets dry decorative pattern and finish papers into specific lengths under the direction of the Team Lead/Supervisor. Performs other tasks as needed. This is a rotating position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Read sheeter schedule, order appropriate size board and follow schedule order.
  • Sheet the dry material to specific lengths per specifications from Product Quality Department.
  • Inspects material for pattern defects, crumbs, dirt, wrinkles, water spots, etc.
  • Sets up paper rolls for the sheeting process.
  • Records the amount of sheets cut on the pallet.
  • Moves material to the material holding area or material inventory.
  • Operates a fork/clamp lift.
  • Creates and completes WIP jobs in Oracle.
  • Attaches WIP component tags.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of safety standards applicable to the work area and other pertinent rules/regulations governing work standards.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions.
  • Ability to read and understand production schedules.
  • Knowledge of mathematics sufficient to calculate lineal footage.
  • Knowledge of computers sufficient to perform Oracle WIP transactions.

MINIMUMREQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

High School Graduate or GED or one year of work history.

EXPERIENCE:

One year of work history.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing/climbing and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight 50-100 lbs.
