- Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, schedule, budget, logistics, phasing, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams, design firms, general contractors, and subcontractors as part of the IPT structure.
- Ensure project requirements, design criteria, and regulatory obligations are fully understood and correctly implemented in field operations.
- Maintain and drive construction schedules, ensuring critical path activities are actively monitored and supported.
- Support the supply chain team in developing statements of work and contractor requirements.
- Participate in evaluating and selecting GCs, A&E firms, and subcontractors (“Subs”).
- Oversee subcontractor performance, productivity, quality, and safety compliance.
- Contribute to the development and management of project budgets, including cost estimating and procurement support.
- Track expenditures and implement effective cost‑control measures.
- Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with EM 385, OSHA standards, defense‑sector safety policies, and company requirements.
- Ensure contractor execution aligns with process‑safety considerations, hazard‑mitigation practices, and energetics/explosives safety expectations.
- Verify construction quality through inspections, documentation reviews, and adherence to specifications.
- Work closely with internal program management and engineering personnel to align field execution with program objectives.
- Provide technical insights, schedule updates, risk flags, and field‑based recommendations to the IPT and Program Management team.
- Help ensure that design intent, safety requirements, and program needs are communicated effectively within the team.
- Identify field‑level risks related to schedule, safety, environmental permitting, and site security.
- Maintain responsibility for updating mitigation plans and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Resolve construction challenges, including schedule conflicts, unforeseen site conditions, and contractor performance issues.
- Lead on‑site multidisciplinary teams, supporting engineers, contractors, and technical staff.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, continuous improvement, and proactive problem‑solving.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 to 10 years of construction project management experience, including 5+ years in the defense industry.
- Proven success managing large‑scale, high‑security, and schedule‑driven industrial or defense projects.
- Strong understanding of defense‑sector construction standards, security protocols, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience working within IPT environments or multi‑disciplinary program structures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and internal coordination skills.
- Proficiency with project management software (MS Project, Primavera, etc.).
- Eligibility for a U.S. security clearance and authorization to work in the United States.
- Advanced degree or PMP certification.
- Experience with chemical plant construction, energetics/explosives facilities, process safety programs, and EM 385‑1 safety requirements.
- CUI implementation a key value.
- Familiarity with industrial or defense manufacturing infrastructure
- Travel: Up to 50%, including International
