Site Superintendent / Quality Control Manager

We're currently looking for a Site Superintendent. This person will plan, direct, and coordinate activities of healthcare renovation projects to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Salary based on experience.

What You'll Do:

  • Will support and manage Project from kick-off to Completion
  • Supports QC/QA and Safety management
  • Ensures proper Material Management
  • Review and approve SOW and pricing
  • Coordinates Management of subcontractors, vendors, and subordinate staff
  • Responsible for budget and schedules
  • Must be experienced with coordination and working with designers, transition specialists and biomedical technicians
  • Must be reliable and dependable, self-starters who can work on their own
  • Provide timely status reports to stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of construction site supervisory experience (preferably healthcare)
  • Construction supervisory experience in managing project renovations greater than $10M+
  • Prefer Government construction experience, but not required
  • ASHE Healthcare Construction Certificate, or capable of obtaining
  • Knowledge of Building Codes and requirements
  • Ability to build strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to run the site efficiently and effectively
  • Enforce Project-Specific Safety Plan and ensure compliance with OSHA safety policies.
  • Maintain schedules, critical paths, and budgets for each construction project. Knowledge of Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Industry knowledge and ability to read blueprints
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and highly organized, with strong time management skills
  • Comfortable communicating with anyone, from foremen to senior-level managers
  • Delivering strategic solutions for clients
  • Overall knowledge of design, estimating, quality control, construction, and operations
  • Preconstruction activities including estimate preparation and subcontractor solicitations
  • Attend job meetings including preconstruction, project, and staff meetings and Report project status and performance data to owner and team members
  • Advanced MS Word skills & proficient in MS Office
  • Strong written English language skills
  • Must be able to travel by vehicle or commercial airline
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds as needed

Summary

FSI is looking to hire a safety manager to join our team. This person will monitor the workplace activities to ensure workers comply with company policies and government safety regulations. Perform the duties as the Safety Manager for our maintenance personnel. Assists with the organizations safety improvement efforts, such as developing and administrating the program, training, and coaching employees and facilitating a safe work environment at this site and throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, maintain the Site-Specific Safety Plan, other EHS policies and oversight of emergency response plan
  • Write and review all Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA)
  • Conduct and document Safety Orientations and weekly staff Safety meetings
  • Conduct mishap investigations and near miss cases
  • Correct any safety deficiencies or unsafe acts and if immediate action is required exercise emergency authority to rectify
  • Ensure all departments are following federal, state, OSHA and USACE 385-1-1 regulations by conducting safety training
  • Perform daily Safety and Equipment Inspections to include PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) for the specific work activity being performed.
  • Inspection of task specific, service order, and obtain Post & Keep Burn Permits
  • Present weekly safety toolbox talks and safety briefings; ensuring HAZMAT standards are met and implement Hazard Communication Program

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Professional Safety Course
  • First Aid and CPR Certified
  • Have completed 30 Hours OSHA General Industry or Construction Course and provide a signed card
  • Must have 5 or more years of continuous safety experience, in an oversight or management role
  • EM385-1-1 training (Desired)
