7:30AM – 12AM, Sunday through Saturday. Requires night and weekend availability.



Job Summary

The Student Production Technologist supports Smart Campus live events and day-to-day media operations at The Cornerstone. You’ll run and assist productions in our Production & Casting Room and Esports Lounge, and during non-event windows create, format, and schedule digital signage and short-form content that aligns with UK brand standards. You’ll help maintain gear, follow (and improve) production workflows, and deliver a great experience for students, staff, partners, and guests.

Key Responsibilities:
Live Production & Streaming
– Operate/assist with switching, graphics, audio, and streaming (e.g., OBS, vMix, TriCaster, NDI).
– Support hybrid call ingestion (Zoom/Teams) and basic Crestron/AV routing.
– Execute run-of-show, camera placement, mic checks, and stream health monitoring.
– Troubleshoot common production issues quickly and escalate when needed.
Digital Signage & Content Creation
– Produce event promos, info slides, motion graphics, and short clips for building digital signage and social cut-downs.
– Format assets for multiple aspect ratios(16:9, 9:16, square)& file specs; add captions.
– Upload, schedule, QA content in the signage CMS (e.g., Korbyt/Appspace/BrightSign or similar).
– Follow UK brand guidelines (typography, color, accessibility) /maintain a shared template library.
Facility, Program, & Guest Support
– Keep production spaces organized, labeled, and ready; manage check-in/out of gear.
– Greet guests, provide tours/front-desk coverage, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment.
– Assist with event setup/teardown, marketing handoffs, and feedback collection.
Operations & Continuous Improvement
– Document processes, scene files, and presets; suggest workflow improvements.
– Track basic signage/stream KPIs when available and share quick insights with the team.
– Adhere to safety and cash-handling procedures; safeguard equipment and credentials.



Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Clear, professional communication; reliable, organized, detail-oriented.
Comfort with production tools/software and basic AV troubleshooting.
Ability to learn quickly and follow/run checklists and SOPs.

Preferred Education/Experience

Adobe CC (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop/Illustrator) or Canva/Figma
Motion graphics basics (lower thirds, slates, transitions) and captioning workflows
Camera, audio, and lighting fundamentals
