Job Summary
Aurex is seeking a high-performing technical leader to work with motivated, talented engineers and developers to produce simulations of aerospace vehicles and analyze complex problems. In this role, you will bridge the gap between technical execution and stakeholder vision, leading the creation of a modeling and simulation architecture used to visualize complex scenarios and communicate the details of advanced technologies.
Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership: Lead a team of software developers to produce cutting-edge applications for visualizing and analyzing missile performance.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with customer and company stakeholders to identify software capabilities and define the long-term development vision.

Architectural Development: Lead the design and implementation of modeling and simulation architectures used to visualize complex aerospace scenarios.

Problem Solving: Utilize high-fidelity simulations to analyze and solve complex engineering problems related to aerospace vehicles.
Qualifications

Education: BS in Software Engineering or a related technical field.

Experience: 10+ years of relevant professional experience.

Security: Must possess an Active SECRET or higher security clearance.

Technical Skills: * Familiarity with Unreal Engine development.

Proficiency with version control software (specifically Git).

Comfort using task management applications, such as Kanban boards.

Location: Ability to work on-site at an Aurex office in Huntsville, AL.
Preferred Requirements

Federated Simulation experience (DIS or HLA).

Specific Design or Modeling experience using Unreal Engine.

Experience with VR/AR/MR (XR) technologies.

Prior experience within the Missile Defense domain.

Rest API experience for Cesium and Unreal development.

Experience with Unreal Engine’s animation tools.

Familiarity with Unity.
How You Will Be Rewarded
The salary range for this role is $175,000 – $225,000 annually.
