The Solution Architect (Solution Architect (Pre-Sales)) acts as a strategic technical partner in the sales process, ensuring that proposed solutions align with customer needs, product capabilities, and delivery feasibility. This role bridges the gap between sales and delivery teams, protecting the organization from overpromising while enabling sales success.

Essential Job Duties:

· Customer Alignment & Solution Fit

o Collaborate with sales representatives during mid-to-late-stage deals to scope proposals.

o Validate solution scope, identify gaps, and ensure alignment with current product functionality and Ideal Customer Profile (ICP).

o Deliver credible product technical discussions.

· Deal Qualification & Governance

o Partner with bids team on RFPs to determine winnable opportunities and define response strategy.

o Work with finance and commercial operations to enforce pricing, discount guardrails, and margin rules.

o Ensure proposed solutions adhere to roadmap strategy and standard product capabilities.

· Delivery Assurance

o Liaise with deployment and delivery teams to confirm feasibility and prevent unrealistic commitments.

o Protect product and engineering teams from unnecessary involvement in every deal.

Required Job Qualifications:

· Education:

o Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).

· Experience:

o 7+ years in solution architecture, pre-sales engineering, or technical consulting roles.

o Proven track record of supporting enterprise-level sales cycles and complex solution design.

o Experience working with SaaS platforms, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), and enterprise integration.

· Skills & Competencies:

o Strong technical and functional understanding of product capabilities and architecture.

o Ability to translate customer requirements into feasible, scalable solutions.

o Excellent communication and presentation skills for demos and client discussions.

o Familiarity with RFP processes, pricing models, and commercial governance.

o Collaborative mindset to work across sales, finance, bids, and delivery teams.

· Certifications (Preferred):

o AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent.

o ITIL or PMP for process and project management understanding.
