Some 24 hour shared call rotations including evenings, weekends and holidays.Job SummaryGolisano Children’s at UK has an immediate, full time opening for an experienced pediatric cardiac sonographer. Golisano Children’s is a 188 bed facility with a 90 bed Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, 12 bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, 4 bed Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and 12 bed Progressive Care Unit. Our pediatric echo lab is accredited by the IAC in pediatric transthoracic, transesophageal and fetal echocardiography. Our cardiac program is part of a “one program-two sites” model with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, designed to provide care as close to home as clinically appropriate. The Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer will join a nationally ranked and growing program.Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesExcellent communication skills; enjoy working independently as well as closely with co-workers in a supportive team environment; customer service focused; problem solving and critical thinking are a must. MS Windows, Excel.Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? NoPreferred Education/ExperienceAssociate’s degree and two or more years performing pediatric echocardiograms preferred.
