Job Summary
The Jefferson Community and Technical College Humanities Division has openings to teach hybrid and on campus sections of Spanish at multiple Jefferson campuses.
Job Duties:
The primary responsibilities of these positions are to teach courses, maintain some office hours for mentoring and coaching students, success and retention activities, and utilization of a learning management system such as Blackboard for communication and feedback.
Please note that this is an adjunct pool. We will only contact applicants as needed for classes.
Minimum Qualifications:
Eighteen graduate hours in Spanish or Latin American Studies and a Master’s degree, or a Master’s degree in the teaching discipline required.
Preferred Qualifications:
A doctorate and/or previous teaching experience in Spanish at the community college level or at a four-year university.
Additional Skills Requested:
Ability to create active learning assignments and/or utilize universal design. Ability to use the college’s learning management system, as well as use technology proficiently.
