JOB SUMMARY
Terwilliger Center is an innovation hub within Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) that contributes to its mission of ensuring that everyone has a decent place to live in. The purpose of TCIS is to continue influencing the market actors such as private companies, public officials, civil society, consumers, and households; to support scalable and affordable housing solutions through their products and services.
The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Specialist will support the Program Manager and support programming that expands Habitat's work with entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems in affordable housing across India. This role will engage directly with two key Terwilliger Center initiatives: Small and Growing Business (SGB Program) and other relevant intervention related to the SGB Program. Small and Growing Business Program is a global initiative to identify, nurture and support Small and Growing Businesses that are developing shelter solutions for low-income households.
The position entails working with accelerators, entrepreneurs, investors, business mentors, academic institutions, government, industry and regulatory bodies, external consultants and the regional team.
Minimum Requirements
- University Degree in any field
- At least 5-6 years of experience in activities related to the scope of work. (startups, project management, coordination)
- Assist the Entrepreneurship and Innovation lead in India to coordinate with all relevant partners comprising of startups, Small and Growing Businesses (SGBs), incubators, accelerators, investors and other relevant stakeholders across the programs.
- Provide comprehensive program management support by tracking schedules, milestones, reports, and other key details to ensure successful execution.
- Provide support in the program’s communication and dissemination activities.
- Coordinate events and meetings (virtual or in person) as needed.
- Oversee end-to-end coordination of events such as hackathons, demo days, bootcamps, and similar activities.
- Support the monitoring and evaluation of Entrepreneurship and Innovation work against the articulated objectives.
- Support with periodic data capture, analysis and prepare reports as needed.
- Maintain communication and coordination with TCIS India team.
- Ensuring program results and milestones are consistently documented and regularly shared with both internal and external stakeholders
