General Description
As Sr Account Executive, you are responsible for leading and managing the end‑to‑end claims process across multiple business practices including Construction & Surety, Public Sector, Condominium, Commercial Risk, and Personal Risk, ensuring exceptional service, accuracy, and timely resolution for insureds and claimants. This role requires deep technical expertise in commercial insurance, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to coordinate effectively with clients, insurance carriers, adjusters, internal divisions, and external stakeholders. The Senior Claims Account Executive also supports risk management initiatives, prepares analytical reports, and contributes to claims prevention strategies for key accounts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for insureds and the insurance carriers throughout the claims process.
- Receive, evaluate, and review claim documents; verify eligibility and policy coverage.
- Guide insureds/claimants on reporting procedures and required documentation.
- Assist insureds in completing claim forms and gather all necessary evidence.
- Analyze completed claim packages and submit claims to insurers; communicate claim numbers and acknowledgments.
- Attend inspections with insureds and insurer adjusters when required.
- Follow up consistently with insurers regarding claim status, settlement offers, payments, and pending documentation.
- Communicate claim outcomes to insureds; prepare reconsideration requests when coverage is denied.
- Provide guidance on legal claims, including timelines for answering complaints and coordinating legal representation.
- Ensure all claims are properly documented in AMS 360 and ImageRight.
- Prepare analytical reports for Public Sector accounts and Commercial Risk clients.
- Request experience reports from insurers, analyze data, and prepare Excel/Word reports and PowerPoint presentations.
- Present quarterly claims analysis to the Operational Risk Committee.
- Coordinate inspections with Risk Management Providers and discuss findings with clients.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration
Experience
• Minimum 5-7 years of commercial insurance experience with a brokerage, preferably.
• Experience in handling complex, high‑volume claims portfolios is desirable.
Certifications / Licenses
The following certifications and/or licenses are recommended:
• Property & Casualty License
• CISR or CIC Designation

• Strong analytical skills; ability to synthesize complex information.

• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and insurance systems (AMS 360, ImageRight).
• Deep knowledge of insurance products, services, and coverage.

• Excellent oral and written communication in English and Spanish.
• Ability to manage difficult conversations with empathy and professionalism.
Project & Time Management
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks, deadlines, and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Experience preparing reports, presentations, and status updates.
