Job Description

Responsible for supporting the Company’s quarterly and annual SEC reporting process, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance activities, and key areas of the general ledger. This role is designed for a Senior Associate–level accountant who will prepare schedules, analyses, and draft disclosures, and assist with technical accounting research. The position provides strong exposure to public company reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparation of 10K and 10Q financial statement filings to the SEC and recurring reports for management.
  • Prepare and assist with the 8-K quarterly earnings release via Workiva and reporting for special projects of the Company as assigned.
  • Assist with technical accounting research efforts. Analyze, research and conclude on new and proposed accounting, reporting and disclosure standards issued by the SEC, and FASB and prepares memorandums regarding the Company’s position and impact on the Company.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned.
  • Responsible for specific areas of the GL (e.g. debt and equity) including preparation of journal entries within Workday and Blackline reconciliations.
  • Support ongoing SOX compliance requirements.
  • Provide financial and statistical analysis and insights to support business decisions.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting.
  • 3+ plus years of experience in public accounting, corporate accounting or a combination thereof.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
  • Ability to research and assist with preparation of technical accounting issue memos.
  • Strong Excel and Word skills.
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both verbal and written.

Nice to Haves

  • CPA certificate preferred (active or in progress).
  • Public company experience.
  • Exposure to SEC reporting processes.

Compensation

$95,000 - $115,000
