Job Summary
The Sr. Growth Manager (SGM) reports to the Sr. Director of Commercial Sales and Retention (SDCSR) and is responsible for generating margin growth in the commercial and industrial business through specialty channels and partnerships. The SGM will develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve aggressive growth targets. This role combines strategic sales leadership with hands-on execution, focusing on scaling our sales operations while maintaining high-quality customer relationships. The SGM will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities, developing sales strategies, and leading initiatives that accelerate our revenue trajectory.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Build and manage a robust sales pipeline through key partnerships and relationship development through non-standard sales channels including partnering with other utility players, submitting RFP responses, developing unique offerings for large commercial and industrial customers, HOAs and large residential and OPS systems, commercial construction, etc. Work closely with potential power generation customers for prime power, intermittent power and/or back-up power needs. Execute full-cycle sales processes from initial contact through contract negotiation and closing. Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities.
- Growth & Optimization: Design and implement scalable sales processes and methodologies. Optimize conversion rates across all stages of the sales funnel. Collaborate with marketing to align lead generation efforts with sales objectives. Establish and track key performance indicators to measure sales effectiveness.
- Communications: Utilizes Sales Activity and Sales Performance reports generated from CRM to communicate results and actions required to meet goals. Ensures SDCSR and other sales leadership is informed of significant matters and takes corrective action or recommends alternative courses of action, as appropriate.
- Business Partner Collaboration: Collaborates with the operating team where necessary to enhance the prospect/customer experience in building and maintaining relationships with high value customers. SGM partners with other business leads in National Accounts, AmeriGas Cylinder Exchange (ACE), Inside Sales Center, Supply & Logistics, Operations, Pricing, Legal and other departments to optimize commercial growth and profitability.
- Business/Market Knowledge: Understands operations and keeps current on the propane industry, customer demographics and the competitive environment to drive marketplace opportunities, mitigate risks and maximize total profit. In addition, background knowledge of the power generation market is highly preferred.

- Self-motivated with ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Must have good organizational skills with the ability to manage the sales process and maintain accurate minimum expectations within the CRM database.
- Advanced skill levels in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
Qualifications
- Degree in Business or equivalent experience required.
- 10+ years sales and marketing experience in commercial sales (specifically with a power generation, propane, or commodity related background is preferred)
- Certified Energy Manager Certification is desired but not required
- Familiarity with propane distribution industry (or similar industry), distribution operations, sales operations, marketing, business analysis and financial profit and loss experience strongly desired. Individual must have successful sales and marketing track record.

The pay for this position ranges from $125,600.00 to $155,000.00, depending on circumstances including an applicant's skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors.
