Sr Information Technology Systems Engineer

Job Summary The IT Systems Engineer plays a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's IT infrastructure. This position is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our systems while also providing technical support to end-users. Responsibilities: Performs other duties as assigned.

1. System Design and Implementation:
   • Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable IT systems.
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
2. Infrastructure Management:
   • Manage and optimize server, network, and storage infrastructure to ensure high performance and availability.
   • Conduct regular system assessments and implement improvements to enhance overall efficiency.
3. Security and Compliance:
   • Implement and enforce security best practices to safeguard the organization's data and systems.
   • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging threats to proactively address potential security risks.
   • Ensure compliance with relevant IT regulations and standards such as NIST and CMMC.
4. Technical Support:
   • Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
   • Collaborate with the helpdesk team to resolve escalated support tickets in a timely manner.
5. Documentation and Training:
   • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all IT systems and processes.
   • Provide training and knowledge transfer to team members and end-users as needed.
6. Monitoring and Performance Tuning:
   • Implement monitoring tools to proactively identify and address performance issues.
   • Conduct performance tuning and optimization of systems to ensure optimal resource utilization.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; Proven experience managing IT infrastructure and services; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. An energetic, forward-thinking, and creative individual with high ethical standards and anappropriate professional image. A strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus. An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills. A good educator who is trustworthy and willing to share information and serve as a mentor Experience with SharePoint Online and Teams Administration (2+ years), SharePoint security administration, Site collection and sub-site setup, Hands-on experience using SharePoint apps and features (lists, document libraries, metadata)Experience administering and maintaining the O365 Platform (4+ years), Tenant Global admin experience o Azure-AD Connect, Admin/Privileged User administration, Security Audits, OneDrive, Teams, Power Automate, Licensing, Microsoft Multi factor authentication/Conditional Access policiesExperience administering and supporting Exchange Online (Office 365), Mail Flow, Security and Compliance (Archive, eDiscovery, Auditing, DLP)2 years' experience administrating ERP systemExperience with virtual networksStrong written and verbal communication skills.
