Responsible for the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of security controls and tools across multiple domains, including Endpoint Security, Cloud Security, Network Security, Data Security, and Disaster Recovery (DR) Security.

This is a hybrid position which will require the candidate to report and work from the office three days a week. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute radius from Temple, TX.

What you'll do as a Sr Security Engineering Manager:
  • Own the architecture, deployment, and maintenance of security tools and platforms across all assigned domains.
  • Evaluate, select, and implement security technologies in alignment with enterprise architecture and risk posture.
  • Ensure integration of security tools with SIEM, SOAR, and other monitoring platforms for visibility and automation.
  • Maintain configuration baselines and ensure tools are tuned for optimal performance and minimal false positives.
  • Endpoint Security: Manage EDR/XDR platforms, application control, and endpoint hardening standards.
  • Cloud Security: Implement CSPM, CWPP, and CIEM tools; enforce secure cloud configurations and guardrails.
  • Network Security: Oversee firewalls, NAC, IDS/IPS.
  • Data Security: Implement DLP, encryption, and data classification tools; support secure data flows and storage.
  • DR Security: Ensure security controls are embedded in DR plans and validate through regular testing and tabletop exercises.
  • Lead engineering efforts to secure artificial intelligence systems, ensuring robust protection against adversarial threats, data poisoning, model theft, and other emerging risks targeting AI infrastructure
  • Own the strategic planning, lifecycle management, and continuous evolution of the technology roadmap across all cybersecurity tooling domains, ensuring alignment with enterprise security objectives and emerging threat landscapes.
  • Develop and maintain engineering runbooks, SOPs, and control documentation.
  • Monitor tool health, coverage, and effectiveness; drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with incident response, threat intelligence, and GRC teams to ensure tools support detection, response, and compliance needs.
  • Lead a team of security engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you'll bring as a Sr Security Engineering Manager:
  • Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
  • Ten or more years of progressive experience in information technology.
  • Eight or more years of experience in cybersecurity engineering.
  • Experience with SIEM, SOAR, EDR, CSPM, and DLP technologies.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GIAC, OSCP, CRISC) preferred.
  • Proven experience managing incident response, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management programs.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
