What You Will Do
- Assists providers in the examination, procedures, and treatments of patients.
- Administer immunizations and injections in accordance with the orders of providers and guidelines of the Illinois Nurse Practice Act. Demonstrates understanding of the requirements of the Illinois state immunization mandate and reviewed student immunization records for compliance.
- Provide health education for care plan, including education relating to the patient's illness, injury or to a behavior beneficial to good health.
- Provide documentation of medical services accurately and completely in the student's electronic medical record.
- Maintains clean work areas, restocking of medical supplies, and sterilization of instruments.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
- Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, Division of Professional Regulation.
- One year of professional nursing experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- One to three years of professional nursing experience in an ambulatory setting.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation/Automatic Electronic Defibrillator certification.
- Current Blood Borne Pathogen training.
