Job Summary

UK HealthCare is seeking a dynamic PRN Athletic Trainer to provide as-needed athletic training services assigned to the Lexington Fire Department (LFD). In this role, you will work closely with both LFD’s health and safety team and UK HealthCare providers to deliver comprehensive care, including injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health, performance, and safety of first responders while collaborating with a dedicated, multidisciplinary team.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Proficient in athletic injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and emergency care.
Knowledge of sports medicine and orthopaedic principles and regulations.
Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and adapt to variable settings and schedules.
