Physical Requirements

Requires heavy lifting, pushing or pulling of objects over 30 pounds; animal handling (including carcasses); risk of injuries from use of equipment on the job; exposure to temperature extremes, cuts/punctures, and bloodborne/airborne pathogens. Able to work in hot, wet areas and wear personal protective clothing.

Shift

25-40 hours per week 1st shift (7:30a – 3:30p)

Job Summary

As a STEPS Clinicial Veterinarian, you will provide clinical care as directed for DLAR’s veterinary operations.

Responsibilities may include:
  • Assigned area and emergency coverage
  • Review Medical Reports and respond in a timely manner for needed intervention
  • Work with the Senior clinical veterinarians and veterinary technicians to address emerging needs
  • Ensure that investigators, animal care, and supervisor staff maintain appropriate standards for animal care and welfare consistent with standard veterinary practice
