Shift

The Delta Center and Med Center Dispatch Center operates 24/7. Work shifts/schedules may vary dependent upon staffing needs requiring evening(s), weekend(s), and holiday(s)response.

12-Hour Shifts:
7:00am – 7:00pm (Sunday – Saturday)
7:00pm – 7:00am (Sunday – Saturday)

Split 12-Hour Shifts:
7:00am – 1:00pm (Specified Day)
1:00pm – 7:00pm (Specified Day)
7:00pm – 1:00am (Specified Day)
1:00am – 7:00am (Specified Day)

8-Hour Shifts:
6:00am – 2:30pm (Monday-Friday)
7:00am – 3:30pm (Monday-Friday)
2:30pm – 11pm (Monday-Friday)

Staff float to cover all shifts as needed.





Job Summary

Reporting to the Facilities Systems Manager, this position is a critical member of a 24/7 Delta Center Operation responsible for monitoring and responding to computer systems; it will be a position that cross train with Medical Center Dispatch.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and operate critical safety and communication systems – including fire alarms, elevator alerts, exit door alarms, and multi-frequency radio and phone lines.
  • Receive, evaluate, and dispatch emergency and non-emergency calls, using discretion to determine severity and appropriate response.
  • Maintain real-time situational awareness and timely communication when reporting hazardous conditions, accidents, and incidents to leadership.
  • Perform regular system testing, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure all equipment functions properly.
  • Accurately document activities, emergency events, shift changes, and maintenance tasks in daily logs and required reports.
  • Uphold departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintain compliance with emergency protocols, and ensure clear – professional communication with staff and the public.
  • Support operational readiness through shift handoffs, setup of new systems or facilities, and collaboration with team members and supervisors.
  • Demonstrate integrity, accountability, and strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.
