Physical Requirements

Lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to and over 50lbs; Standing or walking with objects up to 25lbs; Repetitive motion;

May be exposed to loud noises, fumes, confined spaces, and/or weather/temperature extremes while on a job-site(s) or traveling to/from various job sites.



Shift

Evenings / Nights: Sunday – Wednesday

7:00am – 4:00pm;
3:30pm – 12:00am;
11:00pm – 8:00am
7:00am – 7:00pm Wednesday – Saturday
7:00pm – 7:00am – Sunday – Tuesday
7:00pm – 1:00am on Wednesday

Hours of work may vary dependent upon situational factors and may include some weekend(s), and holiday(s) response.

Any of the above shifts are possible depending on the need at the time of hire

About the Role:



The STEPS Maintenance Technician II – Healthcare supports the Facilities Department’s mission by delivering general maintenance services across UK HealthCare hospital facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, operating, and repairing building systems in compliance with The Joint Commission Standards.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform timely repairs on building systems to maintain safe and efficient operations
  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing fixtures (e.g., faucets, commodes, sewer and water lines)
  • Maintain and repair HVAC systems, including air handling units, reheat coils, and thermostats
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical components such as plugs, lights, ballasts, and fuses
  • Replace broken or defective mechanical parts and systems as needed

HS + 2- 4 years of experience in building maintenance, equipment maintenance and/or general maintenance. HVAC Trouble shooting and repair experience preferred.
