Job Summary
The successful Storage Engineer III will provide tier 2 and some tier 1 support of all ITS incidents and requests for UK Healthcare’s storage environment. Primary duties include incident and request intake, install, configure, documentation, and resolution; problem analysis; and project task fulfillment. Additional responsibilities include; performance of service recoveries; adherence to the UK HealthCare Behavioral Expectations; and participation in the oversight and establishment of departmental goals, policies, and procedures. UK HealthCare is a comprehensive healthcare system consisting of the medical, nursing, health sciences, public health, dental and pharmacy patient care activities of the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY, and in several off-site locations. UK HealthCare is expanding through the construction of a new hospital and potential future acquisitions. A TSM Certification or SNIA SCSA Certified Storage Engineer Certification is required within one year of hire date.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Microsoft Window Experience, SAN fabric management and reporting VSAN, SVC, ITIL v3 certification, IBM TSM and Netapp Enterprise Storage preferred

Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years of information technology experience preferred.
