Job Summary

You must be a current UK student to apply for this position. This position is located off campus with a local Lexington employer and is not affiliated with UK.

Job Description:

We are looking for a caring and dependable individual to assist my wife in providing support for her elderly mother, a non-ambulatory stroke survivor. This is a paid position in our home, supported by a state-funded caregiving program.

No professional experience is required. Just a willingness to learn, follow guidance, and work closely with my wife and follow her lead. This is a great opportunity for students, recent graduates, or anyone interested in meaningful, hands-on caregiving work.



Responsibilities:
  • Assist with personal care: diaper changes, sponge baths, dressing
  • Help with mobility: walks and range of motion exercises
  • Light housekeeping: laundry and general tidying
  • Participate in daily routines and activities as directed



Requirements:
  • Must be able to follow instructions and work collaboratively
  • Background check required
  • Completion of employment documents and service agreement



Additional Details:
  • 20 hours per week
  • $20/hour
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Indefinite duration
  • Paid through a state-funded home care program
  • Start ASAP
