Job Summary
You must be a current UK student to apply for this position. This position is located off-campus with a local Lexington employer and is not affiliated with UK.
Provide support to 29-year-old male with mild intellectual disability, helping him with daily living, fostering independence, promoting community integration, and connecting him to necessary community resources. These tasks include assistance with shopping, socialization, medication management, attending recreational activities, bowling, exercise, and acting as a vital link between the individual and his goals for navigating community living. Individual is good natured, friendly, very social, and is working towards gaining more independence. Hours are flexible can vary from week to week.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Must be 18, have a vehicle, car insurance and driver’s license, and be able to pass a background check. TB screening is required.
