Job Summary

You must be a current UK student to apply for this position. This position is located off campus with a local Lexington employer and is not affiliated with UK.

Affinity Farms is offering a hands-on Summer Internship for students interested in gaining practical experience and a firsthand look at how a modern farm and agribusiness operates. Interns will work closely with farm leadership and participate in day-to-day operations, gaining meaningful exposure to real-world agricultural decision-making.

We are a forward-thinking row-crop operation that utilizes proven farming practices blended with new technology. As part of our team, you get an inside look at these innovative practices and the opportunity to help put them in action!

Daily Operations:
- Assist in grain handling, storage, and logistics
- Support daily operations throughout the planting, spraying, and harvest season
- Perform routine housekeeping and maintenance to ensure cleanliness and efficiency around the farm
- Assist in the repair of critical farm equipment

Learning opportunities:
- Grain grading
- Chemistry application
- Automation in operations
- Goal setting, short term and long term

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

- Strong work ethic and willingness to work long hours during peak seasons
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and a positive, professional attitude
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks daily
