Job Summary

At Azur Restaurant & Patio, our Host & Server Assistant team members are the first and final point of contact for every guest. They are key players in creating a smooth, memorable dining experience. This hybrid role requires someone who is both welcoming and friendly as well as well organized and diligent in their work.

Hosting Duties Include:
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival with genuine enthusiasm and professionalism.
- Manage reservations using Opentable.
- Escort guests to their tables, ensuring smooth seating flow for servers.
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the host stand and entry area.
- Answer the phone promptly and professionally, assisting with reservations and general inquiries.
- Communicate effectively with servers and managers regarding table status and guest needs.
- Cleaning and resetting tables for the next incoming guests.

Server Assistant Duties:
- Act as the liaison between the kitchen and front-of-house team to ensure timely, accurate delivery of dishes.
- Double-check orders for quality, presentation, and accuracy before they leave the kitchen.
- Organize and prioritize orders during busy service to maintain efficiency.
- Communicate clearly with chefs and servers about special requests, allergies, or modifications.
- Keep the expo line clean, organized, and stocked throughout service.
- Support the kitchen and service team with a focus on teamwork and timing.

There is plenty of room for growth should it be desired and scheduling is as flexible as needed to accommodate a busy class schedule.

Qualifications & Requirements:

- Calm under pressure and able to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to stand for long periods and occasionally lift trays or supplies (up to 25 lbs).
