Job Summary
You must be a current UK student to apply for this position. This position is located off campus with a local Lexington employer and is not affiliated with UK.
We are looking for a vibrant, creative, and customer-focused individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the face of our shop, providing exceptional service at the front counter while also taking initiative on social media, community outreach, and in-store promotions to grow our brand. This role requires a blend of interpersonal skills for customer interaction and creative flair for marketing.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Greet guests with a warm, friendly demeanor, providing menu recommendations and sampling our gourmet popcorn flavors. Handle register transactions (cash/card), process sales accurately, and manage refunds or exchanges. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming retail space, including restocking displays and keeping the storefront tidy. Prepare and package in-store, online, and gift orders, ensuring high quality and attention to detail. Design and implement in-store promotional deals (e.g., “Flavor of the Month,” bundle pricing, or seasonal specials). Build relationships with nearby businesses to promote cross-marketing opportunities. Assist with, or lead, planning for pop-up shops, local fairs, or in-store tasting events.
