Shift
Days, Nights, Weekends, 7:30am – 12am. Approximately 10-15 hours per week, with a 70% focus on customer-facing activities.
Job Summary
As a Smart Campus Academic Technologist, you will be instrumental in enhancing the educational experience at the University of Kentucky by promoting the effective use of Apple technology. This role involves engaging directly with students, faculty, and staff to facilitate training and awareness programs centered on the Student iPad Kit initiative. Your efforts will support our community in leveraging technology to enrich learning and teaching environments.
Educational Workshops and Training:
Conduct regular and custom workshop series focused on maximizing the use of Apple products in educational settings.
Develop and deliver presentations tailored to the needs of students and faculty, emphasizing the benefits and functionalities of the iPad and related accessories.
Student and Campus Outreach:
Collaborate with student groups and academic departments to raise awareness and drive participation in technology-related events.
Organize information sessions and workshops, reaching out to diverse campus groups to ensure broad engagement.
Partnership and Promotion:
Work closely with the Campus Store and other campus partners to promote Apple products and special technology events.
Assist in merchandising and promotional activities, ensuring that product offerings are effectively presented to the campus community.
Event Coordination and Support:
Partner with various campus organizations to facilitate technology-focused events and promotions.
Capture and report data on event attendance and feedback to guide future technology initiatives.
Training and Development:
Participate in ongoing training sessions provided by Apple (SEED Trainings) to stay current on the latest products and features.
Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance skills in presentation, customer engagement, and technology education.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
- Experience in delivering workshops or training sessions.
- Familiarity with educational technology applications.
- Leadership experience within student organizations.
