Student Success Coordinator

The Student Success Coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for students navigating academic, personal, and professional challenges throughout their educational journey. This role provides coaching, resources, and guidance that connect students with the support they need to thrive, from enrollment through graduation. The coordinator also builds and maintains relationships across university departments and external partners and leads initiatives and engagement opportunities designed to promote long-term student success.

Key Responsibilities

-Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment that encourages a strong sense of belonging among all students.

-Establish one-on-one relationships with students to provide personalized coaching and support for academic success.

-Facilitate the hiring, training, and supervision of peer tutors.

-Develop in-depth knowledge of campus resources in order to connect students with appropriate services, assist with problem-solving, and make referrals as needed.

-Design and deliver social engagement and academic success workshops and programming.

-Partner with marketing and communications to promote services and programming to students, faculty, and staff.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field

• Minimum 2 years of experience in student services, academic advising, academic coaching, learning center management, or a related role

• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, exercise independent judgment, and manage multiple priorities

Preferred

• Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, or a related field

• Experience working with first-generation, underrepresented, or at-promise student populations

• Familiarity with early alert or student success platforms (e.g., EAB Navigate, Starfish)

• Knowledge of FERPA regulations and best practices in student data confidentiality


Job Summary

Provides individual and group coaching, assessment, and evaluation to support academic success, a positive student experience and satisfaction to ensure retention. Creates and maintains a network of contacts within and external to the University to facilitate student success opportunities. Promotes and conducts success initiatives and engagement opportunities.

Hiring Range: $44,311-$59,083
