Job Summary

You must be a current UK student to apply for this position. This position is located off campus with a local Lexington employer and is not affiliated with UK.

Serves as first point of contact to callers and visitors providing a professional image for the property through efficient direction and assistance; provides administrative support.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summer Conference runs from May – August.

This role requires the availability to work nights and weekends.

Preference is given to current University of Kentucky students/employees.

Provide outstanding customer service.
Answer the phone and take messages.
Greet all people who enter the office.
Distribute resident packages.
Respond to email inquiries.
Provide accurate housing information.
Assist staff members.
File electronic communications.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Education: In order to be eligible for the position, a candidate must: 1. Be a student at the University of Kentucky, in good academic standing. 2. Be in good disciplinary standing at the University of Kentucky.

Experience: Experience in customer service within a detail-oriented environment.

Physical Requirements: May be required to walk long distances or sit for long periods of time. May be required to walk up and down stairs. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. May be required to perform physical activities in a housing facility environment. Ability to work effectively in stressful and high pressure situations. May be required to stay longer than shift on occasion.
