SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Subject Matter Expert.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Summary: SEACORP islooking for Subject Matter Expert in our Shipyard Engineering division. Thisrole will support a NAVSEA developmental launcher system in requirementsdecomposition, design development to include design documentation, interfacecontrol document development (ICD), technical, test conduct activity, andprogrammatic services. A SME individual can provide expert level input forplanning and tasking regarding the subject at hand; a trusted agent acting asthe expert regarding the field of expertise for the sponsored program.
A SubjectMatter Expert as SEACORP defines it, are individuals with a level of nichespecialization in a professional technical area that commands a premium fromthe customer. The nature of their experience makes them a thought leaderwithin a given area, as well as a provider of critical context, theoreticaloversight, and significant practical application unlike few others in theworkforce. Often these individuals are the definitive and sometimes onlyexpert in a subject area. Given the level of expertise this titlecommands, most individuals will have no less than 15 years of applicableexperience, and more likely 20 or more years.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, or Navy Sonar A-School equivalency.
Experience: 15-20years of experience as an SME in the area of submarine launched weapons systemsand associated launchers.
As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship

Travel: Monthly (approximately once per month)
Clearance: Secret
Work Environment & Physical Demands: This position operates in standard Office, Assembly Laboratory, and Aboard Vessel/Shipyard environments. Standard offices and laboratories: Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting. In shipyards and aboard vessels: Significant use of hands to operate equipment and tools. Significant lifting of <40 lbs.; occasional lifting >40 lbs. Sitting, stooping, bending, twisting, reaching, lying prone, and squatting on a daily basis. Work is performed in highly variable work conditions to include seasonable variations in weather and temperature. High probability of working in confined spaces where movement is restricted. Dust, noise and constant activity associated with the movements of materials and people, and the fabrication of steel, including welding and the use of overhead cranes/hoists. Personal Protective Equipment: safety shoes and hard hat required; hearing protection and safety glasses recommended.
