ATLANTICARE _____________________________________________ROLE DESCRIPTION POSITION SUMMARY The Centralized Scheduling Supervisor provides supervision and management for all activities related to centralized scheduling of all AtlantiCare Physician Group service lines. This position ensures that the Centralized scheduling is working in conjunction with all internal and external customers to facilitate a systematic and fully integrated process. The Supervisor assists the Central Scheduling leadership in developing, integrating, and coordinating programs and activities that provide access across AtlantiCare while providing excellent and quality customer service. This position supports, interprets and enforces departmental policies and procedures; and designs, implements and revises quality assurance/improvement program. The Supervisor of Centralized scheduling works in collaboration with a wide variety of practice, medical center and organization businesses to provide access and resources for the coordination of care and distribution of information related to our programs and services to consumers. This position prepares reports and reports out to the steering committee. Works with practice and leadership to ensure that adjustment to workflows and communication align with needs of the practice and patients. Supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION: High School Diploma required. Bachelors degree preferred. Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in a clinical or call center setting required. Demonstrated competence in Conflict Management, Performance Evaluation, Supervision and excellent interpersonal skills to work with all levels of employees, patients and families required. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: EXPERIENCE: Demonstrated competence in conflict management, performance evaluation, supervision, and good interpersonal skills to work with all levels of customers. Strong verbal and written communication skills required, Strong computer, analytical, and delegation skills preferred. PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS Demonstrates the competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool for this position. WORK ENVIRONMENT Potential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the hospital environment, including exposure to infectious disease, hazardous substances, and potential injury. This position requires sitting, standing, walking, stooping and crouching a majority of the workday. Ability to lift and transport a minimum of 15 pounds. Works with such equipment as computer terminal, fax machine, printer and copier. REPORTING RELATIONSHIP This position reports to department leadership and supervises incumbents as assigned.
