
Supervisor, Credentialing (Remote)
Professional Health Care Network d/b/a tango manages the home health benefit for major insurance plans with a focus on Medicare Advantage and managed Medicaid patients. tango reviews home health care referrals for appropriateness and then coordinates with a network of contracted agencies to provide the care needed for patients. On an ongoing basis, we provide review and oversight of clinical care and determine further authorizations.
tango is looking for a detailed oriented, self-motivated, process driven, supervisor to work directly with our Senior Manager of Network Operations to play a crucial role in ensuring that our providers maintain the highest level of professional qualifications and comply with all regulatory standards. Responsible for overseeing the credentialing process, managing a team of credentialing specialists, and collaborating with various departments to maintain compliance with accreditation and certification requirements. Additionally, the Credentialing Supervisor will support managing credentialing email box, and work together with Senior Manager of Network Operations, Director of Network, and VP of Network to strategically optimize existing workflows from credentialing approval to provider training.

Primary Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of credentialing specialists, ensuring workload distribution, quality, and productivity goals are met.
- Oversee daily credentialing activities including initial applications, recredentialing, and ongoing monitoring.
- Perform quality checks and audits on files to ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
- Support the Credentialing Manager in implementing process improvements and standard operating procedures.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and point of escalation for complex or high-priority credentialing issues.
- Coordinate with internal departments such as Provider Relations, Network Operations, and Compliance to resolve credentialing barriers or data discrepancies.
- Assist in preparing reports, metrics, and dashboards for leadership review.
- Participate in the onboarding and training of new credentialing staff.
- Support internal and external audits and regulatory surveys as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation in credentialing systems and ensure data integrity across platforms (e.g., Symplr).
Additional Responsibilities
- Additional duties may involve support in training new team members and collaborating with cross-departmental teams to ensure a smooth Provider Onboarding process.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Providing daily task oversight and guidance to the Credentialing team.
- Monitoring team workflows and workloads to ensure adherence to timelines and service-level expectations.
- Offering real-time coaching and support to resolve process questions or issues.
- Reviewing credential files for accuracy and compliance prior to final review by the Manager.
- Assisting with onboarding and ongoing training of Credentialing Specialists.
- Identifying performance or process gaps and escalating concerns or development needs to the Credentialing Manager.
- Supporting the Manager in fostering a positive, accountable, and high-performing team culture.

Knowledge/ Experience
- Equivalent to high school diploma.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office and Adobe applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc).
- Consistent and reliable WiFi.
- Experience in healthcare (home health or credentialing a plus), or similar role, preferred but not required.
