POSITION SUMMARY
The ECDC Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the Envision Child Development Center (ECDC). Reporting to and coordinating with the ECDC Director, the Supervisor ensures smooth daily functions and acts as a liaison between the staff and the Director.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the Center’s daily operations while maintaining a professional environment.
- Support the Director in all areas of Center business and operations.
- Maintain a current Texas Director’s license.
- Assume all Director responsibilities in their absence.
- Assist in developing SOPs, KPIs, CPMs, and the annual budget.
- Complete monthly MBM exercises, KPI tracking, and budget reviews.
- Promote excellent customer service across all staff levels.
- Monitor team performance and report issues to the ECDC Director.
CLERICAL AND COMPLIANCE SUPPORT
- Track and report information for TXHSS, CACFP, and other regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance through effective processes, policies, and procedures.
- Stay updated on local, state, and federal laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Provide leadership and supervision, ensuring quality and service standards are met.
- Assist in achieving financial objectives by contributing to the annual budget and making cost-saving recommendations.
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment through proper training and adherence to safety policies.
- Process childcare fee payments, reconcile accounts, and address billing inquiries.
- Perform daily and monthly balancing procedures.
- Manage initial intake and recordkeeping for prospective students.
- Assist parents with the computer check-in process.
- Maintain ECDC software programs and generate summary reports as needed.
- Ensure confidentiality of all student information.
- Support classroom needs to ensure ratio compliance in each classroom; cover breaks, call ins or other needs when applicable.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide transportation, following all laws and regulations, utilizing the school vehicle, as needed for program operations.
- Help update the parent handbook and calendar.
- Oversee compliance with the food program.
- Answer multi-line phones, greet visitors, and manage inquiries.
- Assist with coordinating annual ECDC events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE
Education:
- Some college or Early Education certifications required; Associate degree, preferred.
Experience:
- Previous experience in an early childhood development facility, preferred
- Minimum of 1-3 years in lead or supervisory role; early childhood education preferred.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, familiarity with Internet.
- Knowledge of standard office administrative procedures and office equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills, including written and verbal communication abilities.
- Must possess good organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Self-motivated as well as able to work independently with periodic consultation/direction.
- Project positive customer service attitude, and possess ability to project a professional and congenial appearance and demeanor.
- Desire to learn and understand the needs of visually impaired individuals of all ages with diverse socioeconomic backgrounds.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Current CPR/First Aid certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Texas Director’s License
