Responsibilities

As a Survey Technician, you will support both office and field teams by processing incoming data and producing final land surveying deliverables. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will perform technical tasks using industry-leading tools and technology within the A/E/C environment. This role plays a key part in improving project efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and supporting client satisfaction.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Process survey data in accordance with SAM standards, evaluating accuracy and completeness while ensuring compliance with applicable surveying principles under the direction of your supervisor

  • Monitor field crew production and assist with quality assurance efforts

  • Perform initial quality control (QC) reviews of field deliverables in alignment with standards and best practices

  • Coordinate with your supervisor to ensure project requirements and client-specific deliverables are met



Qualifications



  • Previous experience supporting land survey projects (field or office); entry-level candidates considered
  • Basic knowledge of land surveying principles and standard deliverables
  • Experience processing or reviewing survey data under supervision
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and technical software
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standards and procedures
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Preferred:

  • Experience with Civil 3D, MicroStation, Trimble Business Center, or similar software
  • Familiarity with GPS and total station workflows
  • Exposure to QA/QC processes
