As our System Administrator II, you will play a mission-critical role in leading and managing all aspects of our information technology systems. From infrastructure oversight and project leadership to hands-on support, you will ensure reliable and secure IT services across multiple sites.
This role requires a balance of technical expertise, operational leadership, and a customer service mindset. You will typically work onsite 4 days per week at our Support Center in Indianapolis, IN, and 1 day per week at our Van Buren, IN, manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities
Systems Administration
- Administer and maintain Microsoft Active Directory and Office 365 across sites.
- Design and manage Hyper-V virtual environments and oversee Microsoft Azure Global Tenant.
- Manage Barracuda spam filtering and backup systems to ensure robust email and data protection.
Project & Policy Management
- Lead multiple IT projects, ensuring timely and goal-aligned delivery.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and contribute to IT policy and procedure development.
Device Management & Endpoint Security
- Provision and support devices using Microsoft Intune and Autopilot to facilitate a seamless Windows 11 upgrade.
- Configure and manage ThreatLocker for application control and endpoint security.
Diagnostics & Maintenance
- Perform daily system reviews, diagnostics, and system patching to ensure system reliability and security.
- Troubleshoot technical issues using onsite and remote diagnostic techniques.
Support & Leadership
- Provide expert Help Desk support via ticketing system and phone queue.
- Take ownership of IT issue resolution and drive proactive solutions for efficiency.
- Participate in after-hours on-call rotation, providing emergency IT support outside business hours.
Asset Management & Documentation
- Track and maintain all IT hardware and software assets accurately.
- Document processes using IT Glue and update tickets within Ninja RMM system.

Experience & Expertise
- 6+ years of hands-on IT experience, demonstrating continuous growth, learning, and success in technical roles.
- Proven experience in system administration, particularly within Microsoft environments (AD, Office 365, Azure).
- In-depth knowledge of Server Operating Systems and scripting with PowerShell.
- Expertise in virtualization technologies (preferably Hyper-V).
- Strong knowledge of Barracuda, ThreatLocker, and IT asset management tools.
- Excellent project management and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve a wide range of technical issues efficiently across computer systems, mobile devices, and enterprise tech platforms.
- Strong English language skills for clear, professional verbal and written communication.
- A customer-focused approach to service and support, with a strong sense of ownership and responsiveness.
- Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated success working independently and as a collaborative team player.
Other Requirements
- Willingness to work in a 24/7 operational environment and provide after-hours support as needed.
- Must be able to work onsite full-time at both the Indianapolis and Van Buren, IN locations as scheduled.
