Position Description:

The Talent Development Manager – Operations is a key driver in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and growth within our healthcare organization. This role is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive talent programs specifically tailored for the Operations Department. These programs will align with organizational strategic goals and empower operational team members and leaders to achieve their full potential.

Key focus areas include succession planning, performance management, career development, and other initiatives that support a safe and inclusive work environment where extraordinary careers thrive. The Talent Development Manager will collaborate closely with operational leaders and stakeholders to identify development needs, create innovative solutions, and ensure all programs are both impactful and accessible to frontline and leadership staff alike.

  • Office located at 7600 North 16th Street, Suite 140 Phoenix, AZ 85020 (Remote)

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop and execute talent development strategies that support operational excellence and employee engagement.
  • Lead performance management initiatives for the Operations Department that promote a culture of feedback, accountability, and results.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to identify high-potential employees and implement succession planning frameworks.
  • Build career development pathways for frontline and supervisory roles, fostering internal mobility and leadership readiness.
  • Design and deliver targeted training programs that enhance both technical and leadership skills within the department.
  • Measure the effectiveness of talent initiatives through qualitative and quantitative data; make iterative improvements based on findings.
  • Act as a strategic partner to operations leadership, ensuring talent development efforts support operational KPIs and workforce planning goals.
  • Facilitate training sessions, development workshops, and one-on-one coaching to support individual and team growth.
  • Integrate diversity, equity, and inclusion principles into all development programs.
  • Manage vendor relationships, tools, or platforms used for learning and development across Operations.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in talent development, workforce development, or organizational learning.
  • Demonstrated success implementing development programs in operational or service-focused departments.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and performance management methodologies.
  • Ability to build credibility and influence leaders across various levels of a healthcare organization.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and project management skills.
  • Ability to travel to the Phoenix office for periodic onsite meetings.
  • Reliable internet

Preferred:

  • Experience working in healthcare or operational settings (e.g., clinical operations, support services, logistics).
  • Master’s degree in a related field or professional certification (e.g., CPTD, SHRM-SCP, Prosci).
  • Experience with LMS platforms, performance systems, or data analysis tools related to workforce development.
