Overview

LMI is seeking a Technical Operations Specialist in the DC Metro area with demonstrated experience in military staff/operations who also has demonstrated experience with tech to assist a United States Special Operations Command mission partner. This role allows partial telework with a requirement to be in office in the DC area multiple times during the week.

This position is primarily in-person in the DC area and requires an active Top-Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

As a Technical Operations Specialist, you are expected to bring US Military experience including operations roles with a focus on planning, staffing, and day-to-day US military operations.

You will work directly for the Chief of Staff and will be supporting a very fast-moving technical organization that is directly supporting the warfighter.

You are an expert with Microsoft Power Point, Excel, and Word.

You have experience in special operations, ideally in both a joint and US Army SOF unit.

You have experience interfacing with senior civilian and military leaders at the SES & GO level.

You know how to and will proactively solve unusual and/or complex problems with little or know direction given.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience with AI, data, cloud computing, and/or drones
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance required
  • Minimum of 5-years of military experience with special operations time.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to communicate at the SES/GO level
  • Ability to function with little or no guidance in a fast faced technical operations environment.

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a technical field
  • Project or Product Management Certifications such as PMP or CSPO
  • Prior service in a Special Force unit.
