Job Summary

The College of Public Health/Public Health Analytics and Informatics is looking for a Technical Project Specialist III for grant-funded projects, including the Rapid Actionable Data for Opioid Response in KY project. This position works across multiple projects to ensure contract requirements are met and ensures the coordination and management of technical activities to implement or enhance research and information systems for Public Health stakeholders. Works with stakeholders and researchers to define the creation of a project scope of work, then works with the technical research team to define project requirements and create project goals and timeline. Responsible for progress reports and other deliverables.

Due to the complexity of handling multiple stakeholder projects at a time, this position will be responsible for monitoring budgets and managing costs associated with assigned projects. Provides updates to the Principal Investigator and team leads on assigned projects/initiatives and escalates issues when necessary.

The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, communication skills, and the ability to synthesize complex concepts into meaningful conclusions. Experience with public health research, public health surveillance, or public health informatics is preferred.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Project Management Certification preferred, Microsoft Project, clarity, or other PM tool experience
