Job Summary

The Human Development Institute (HDI) at the University of Kentucky is Kentucky’s Center on Disability. HDI is seeking to fill a Temporary School Liaison position.

The responsibilities of this Temporary School Liaison position include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Provide support and technical assistance to KY School districts with an emphasis on yearly compliance monitoring focusing on,
  • Working with KDE/DLS to provide implementation and oversight of the monitoring process as is relates to FAPE.
  • Coordinate planning, monitoring and data collection within selected districts.
  • Attend training and coaching sessions in preparation for district monitoring visits.
  • Review and collect data related to district compliance of special education policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Keep KDE staff informed and updated through regular and documented communication protocols.


Work-related travel is a requirement of this position.
