The Territory Salaes Manager position focuses on generating opportunities for cloud-based solutions by working with senior executives in the Energy and Utilities sectors. Responsibilities include collaborating with internal VertexOne teams to develop sales strategies and identify opportunities across CIS, Customer Engagement, application maintenance and hosting, business analytics, and consulting services.

Duties

  • Represent VertexOne as a provider of SaaS solutions and services for the Utility Industry
  • Develop territory plans and identify key utility prospects within the assigned geographic area with fewer than 35,000 customer accounts
  • Build relationships with evaluation consultants, partners, and other influencers
  • Create account plans for major clients outlining areas of opportunity and required VertexOne resources
  • Establish relationships with client executives to raise awareness and explore business opportunities
  • Work with internal teams to pursue business opportunities
  • Promote the VertexOne VXconnect Portal solutions
  • Provide guidance to clients based on knowledge of utilities' operational systems
  • Prepare responses to RFIs and RFPs as required and qualified
  • Lead engagement teams in delivering business proposals
  • Record and track all sales activities using the VertexOne CRM system

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, customer success, or marketing in Software as a Service (SaaS), with understanding of account management in Technology, Energy, or Utilities
  • Experience in consulting and selling complex solutions and services
  • Ability to lead diverse teams in developing and selling solutions collaboratively
  • Proven track record of achieving sales goals and building client relationships
  • Experience in the utility or government sector preferred
  • Capability to maintain client retention through executive relationship management and leadership
  • Proficient skills utilizing MS Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Motivation to meet objectives and sustain client engagement
  • Sound business judgment and understanding
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with colleagues to deliver client solutions
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Commitment to ethical business practices and positive outcomes for stakeholders
  • Willingness to consider innovative solutions for client engagements
