Summary Description: The New Restaurant Training Associate is responsible for coordinating the administrative functions around trainer selection, preparation, deployment, travel, pay, and expense reporting. They support New Restaurant Openings by suppling training content and equipment, including laptops, training materials, and trainer uniforms. Additionally, the role helps to monitor New Restaurant Training success metrics such as trainer performance, completion of training goals, monitoring the new opening’s Training Tracker, and budget achievement.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides the guidelines and monitors the trainer selection process and schedule coordination for each opening, including corporate-supported franchise openings.
  • Ensures trainer pay is accurate by verifying clock-ins at each opening, including travel time. Processes per diem requests for traveling trainers.
  • Supports corporate credit card services with issuing and maintaining credit card to trainers. Reviews and approves submitted expense
  • Ensures all opening teams are aligned with strategic objectives. Support Training Managers in trainer selection criteria. Assists with the creation
  • Collaborates in the planning, tracking, and reporting of the program budget, providing regular status updates and reports as necessary to
  • Coordinates and executes the travel scheduling and communication of training team.
  • Evaluates and ensures all new restaurant opening training is accurate and up to date, including maintenance of the Training Guidebook
  • Updates necessary systems to track milestones, success metrics, such as trainer performance, completion of training goals, monitoring the Training Tracker and budget achievement.
  • Maintain roster of Trainers and upkeep of certification process. Runs internal recruiting campaigns as needed to ensure constant pipeline of great candidates.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma/GED equivalent or equivalent work experience
  • 0+ months of experience necessary

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in handling multiple administrative tasks
  • Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with management, vendors, and co-workers and foster a team environment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Visio (as applicable)
  • Proficiency in Workday (as applicable)
  • Ability to communicate well with the general public and experience in establishing and maintaining an effective working relationship with management, vendors and co-workers
  • Ability to work in a team environment

WORKING CONDITIONS/TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Expected to work the necessary time to satisfactorily fulfill job responsibilities
  • Must be able to report to work timely and as required by operational/business needs
  • Must be able to work a full-time schedule and work outside of normal business hours when necessary
  • Must be able to travel occasionally both locally and long distances (including air travel), to worksites, meeting sites, and other locations
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, submit to releasing a Motor Vehicle Record that adheres to the Whataburger standards and maintain current automobile liability at minimum levels in their state of residence
