POSITION SUMMARY

This role is a key member of the Transformation Office, an internal consulting team that partners across the health system to advance strategic initiatives, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. Reporting to departmental leadership, this position plays a pivotal role in driving transformation, innovation and business development efforts that enhance organizational performance and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with operational and clinical leaders to design, lead, and implement end-to-end initiatives that improve processes and performance across the organization.
  • Independently manage high-priority transformation workstreams, including developing and overseeing detailed project plans and ensuring successful execution.
  • Provide analytical and strategic support for assessing new opportunities, creating actionable implementation plans, and executing key strategic projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and develop opportunities for innovation and new business opportunities.
  • Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies to foster a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Mentor and support Green Belt-level projects and facilitate Lean Six Sigma and change management training programs.
  • Supports presentations to the Board, executive committees, and other leadership forums.
  • Has leadership attributes to build a rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels, developing strong interpersonal relationships and is able to facilitate and drive change in a fast paced and changing environment.
  • Provide project leadership by defining scope, setting priorities, and facilitating team meetings to ensure timely progress and alignment.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and influence skills to build trust, gain buy-in, and drive change across all levels of the organization.
  • Superior PowerPoint, Visio and Excel skills required, strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, relationship building and communication skills.


QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience required.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Lean Six Sigma training required. Green belt certification preferred or required within 2 years date of hire or transfer. Black belt certification preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years' experience related to process improvement, business analysis, project management, performance benchmarking, metrics, change management, operational transformation, or strategic alignment required. Proven ability to lead large-scale process improvement and transformation initiatives in a complex, fast-paced environment. 1-3 years of healthcare experience preferred. Experience with workflow processing and effective leadership in team facilitation is required. Working Knowledge of PDCA required. Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite and Visio required.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

Demonstrates the competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool for this position.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position requires sitting, standing, walking, stooping and crouching a majority of the workday. Works with equipment such as computer terminal, fax machine, printer and copier.

This position reports to department leadership.
