Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and accountability for the planning and safe execution of all design, construction, inspection, and maintenance activities within established budgets for the grid, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and reporting requirements.
- Manages the development and implementation of standardized business processes, productivity targets, and customer expectations associated with ongoing transmission operations and activities for the assigned grid area.
- Leads strategy to complete inspections and remediations, pole replacement targets, and projects by compliance dates, ensuring strict adherence to all inspection and maintenance requirements.
- Establishes and manages the development and oversight of related plant, function, staffing, and vehicle budgets to maximize cost efficiencies.
- Works closely with the Transmission Resource Performance and Planning Manager (RPPM) to balance resource demands and availability by leveling work across the enterprise.
- Develops and maintains a robust risk management framework for the grid, proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks related to safety, compliance, reliability, and financial performance.
- Fosters a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement, ensuring all employees adhere to applicable safety rules and safe work practices.
- Develops and coaches high-performing teams, promoting professional growth and excellence in all aspects of transmission operations.
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience supervising a team of direct reports and/or project management.
- Experience in leading electric transmission systems operations.
- Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Transmission and/or Distribution electrical construction/ maintenance methods, techniques, tools, and equipment.
- Experience with environmental compliance, safe work practices,
- Experience with the application of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Experience working in the IPSEC model and driving cost, schedule, and budget.
- Experience in Transmission & Distribution standards, Operations Manuals, and the Accident Prevention Manual safety rules.
- Proven leadership skills that can influence change and develop a strong culture.
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

- Position will require up to 50% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
- This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.

Salary range
- $178,300 - $267,400 per year
