Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Technologist to join our OB/GYN team. In this role, you will perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations, support patients throughout their care experience, and provide accurate imaging data to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment planning. The ideal candidate is clinically competent, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional patient-centered care in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with provider orders, clinical protocols, and industry standards
  • Produce and document high-quality sonographic images for physician interpretation
  • Prepare and position patients, clearly explaining procedures to ensure comfort and understanding
  • Monitor patient condition during exams and respond appropriately to any concerns
  • Communicate technical findings to physicians through oral and/or written summaries
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient records, including imaging and documentation
  • Ensure proper operation, cleanliness, and maintenance of ultrasound equipment
  • Adhere to all clinic policies, HIPAA regulations, and patient safety standards
  • Collaborate with providers and staff to support efficient patient flow and high-quality care
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Support value-based care efforts to enhance patient outcomes
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Current ultrasound technologist certification required
  • RDMS registered or registry-eligible (as applicable)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited ultrasound program preferred
  • Minimum of one year of ultrasound experience or relevant clinical training preferred
  • OB/GYN ultrasound experience preferred
  • Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain within required timeframe)

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to produce diagnostic-quality images that meet physician expectations
  • Knowledge of ultrasound equipment, imaging techniques, and sonography standards
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records and basic computer systems
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
  • Sound judgment and ability to remain calm in urgent situations
  • Commitment to professionalism and patient-centered care

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and sit for extended periods
  • Frequent use of hands and arms for equipment operation and patient positioning
  • Ability to assist with patient transfers (lifting, pushing, pulling within safety guidelines)
  • Visual acuity to review images and documentation accurately
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff
