As an Intern UX Designer at AutoNation, you will gain hands-on experience contributing to the development of user-centered design solutions for digital products. You will assist in creating and maintaining design systems, conducting user research, and developing prototypes and mockups. This role provides an excellent opportunity to refine your skills in UX design, research, and collaboration while working in a high-paced, team-oriented environment. With exposure to industry-leading practices, you will play a valuable role in ensuring high-quality, user-centric digital experiences that align with AutoNation’s business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
· Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems, style guides, and pattern libraries
· Assist in conducting user research and usability testing to inform design decisions
· Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups under the guidance of Senior UX Designers
· Communicate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders and team members
Qualifications
· Interested in a career in UX
· Experience with design tools such as Figma, Microsoft PPT, and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
· Portfolio showcasing user-centered design work is a plus
· Experience presenting creative ideas
· Highly collaborative, open and transparent with excellent communication skills
· Calmness under pressure, with the ability to excel and thrive in a high-volume environment
· Ability to implement feedback, prioritize workload, and quickly shift creative direction to meet deadlines
· Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
· Interest in user research and usability testing
· Experience in UX design for digital products working in digital marketing, retail industry or full-service agency a plus

· 40% Create and translate wireframes into comps, create illustrations, prototypes, and motion designs
· 40% Perform website and design audits, competitive analysis, Quality Assurance, and develop user research tests
· 20% Responsible for developing and communicating industry-leading creative concepts and producing documentation to convey strategic business objectives
